For 10+ years Lynne Azpeitia has helped therapists develop successful practices and careers through her business, clinical and practice coaching, She's utilized her psychology training, experience, and knowledge of the counseling field to guide licensed and pre-licensed therapists in designing, creating, developing and maintaining the practice and career success they desire. She greatly enjoys this creative work--as well as the challenge of it.
“Informed optimism is the flood that lifts and carries seemingly impossible projects.”
Robert Genn
In 2014 Lynne added monthly workshops for practice and career success to her individual coaching work. She did this at the urging of her colleagues, They believed that Lynne's positive, encouraging, practical and creative approach to starting a therapy practice was especially needed and would be well received by therapists wanting to start or revitalize a practice. They were right!
In 2017 Lynne added Monthly Practice Development Lunches where the only cost is for you to pay for your own lunch & tip (Tax-Deductible). Held at a local Westside restaurant, each monthly lunch has a theme: Marketing, Money Matters, Private Practice, Coaching for Clinicians, Social Media for Therapists, Websites, etc.
Each Practice Development Lunch includes a discussion of the theme, Q & A, Participant Announcements, and Participant Introductions, along with the usual networking and exchange of business cards. Limited to 25 participants, the lunches are very popular events and fill to capacity very quickly. |
To be successful in private practice you must liberate yourself
From the notion that profit and care are incompatible so
You can become a wealthy and caring and successful therapist.

As you may know, many therapists are finding that it takes more than being a good clinician to create and maintain a financially successful therapy practice. A majority of therapists are working too hard, making too little money and not getting any vacation time.
What many people tell therapists is that nothing more is possible, that's just how it is--Discouraging Advice Is Usually Given to Those Interested in Private Practice, A Paid Internship or A Good Paying Job in the Field.

Therapists can help more people and make more money
with less work--and without compromising their values.
They just need to learn how.
Lynne doesn't believe that therapists have to settle for being underpaid and overworked--and her experience, as well as that of those she individually coaches, supervises or consults with contradicts the belief that therapists can't be compensated for their work or earn a good living in practice or otherwise.
Lynne is committed to disseminating the skills and information that therapists need to do what they love, help clients, make a difference, and be paid well.

“When you know what you’re doing, you have the power to change it.”
Chellie Campbell
Making a commitment to keep her workshops and lunches affordable to all, Lynne has kept the price low because she especially wanted those who could benefit most from the knowledge to be able to attend--and she also thought more people would attend at that price point, since larger workshop attendance is better for networking as well as learning. There are ample opportunities for networking during the workshops and monthly lunches--as well as before and afterwards.
We can, and must, create new ways to help our clients and those in need.
There are undiscovered new ways to offer psychoeducation and prevention
--and to enjoy a a diversity of successful careers & practices.
Let's make that happen.
The content presented at each Practice Development Workshop is an integration of business, professional and clinical information. Whether the topic is marketing, having money conversations with clients about paying full fee for their therapy, when and how to use a sliding scale, adding coaching to your menu of services, creating a private practice, or promoting your practice,
Lynne presents the business nuts and bolts information and offers different ways to orchestrate adding the tools, tips or strategies into your clinical practice in a manner that is legally and ethically appropriate. Questions and discussions are usually pretty lively. People come away inspired, encouraged, and with answers.

How to Determine & Attract An Ideal Client for Your Brand
Fabi Paolini Determining and finding who your ideal client or customer is, is probably one of the most important — and often, overlooked, parts of building a brand. You see, a lot of times, we worry about setting up our offer, creating our websites, defining the products or details on the services we’re going to sell. We do this while forgetting that without clients, we would have no business at all. So, actually, it should be done all the way around. You need to begin by understanding who your audience is and what their needs are. More.... |
The Seven Habits of Highly Successful Networkers
Lydia Ramsay All business people are networkers whether they realize it or not. Some are more effective than others and enjoy it more than others. Anyone can master the art of networking with a bit of effort and a little magic. Think about it. Every time you meet someone, you are networking. Every time you greet someone, you are networking. Every time you pick up the phone, you are networking. Every time you send an e-mail, you are networking. Every time you engage someone in conversation, you are networking. Every time you write a note (yes, some people still write notes), you are networking. More... |
11 Habits the Best Networkers Have
Forbes Networking is a skill, and like all skills, it is something that is learned and developed. While it may seem like there are many "natural" networkers out there, understand that they became this way over time. 1. Listening Communication is a two-way street. There is no bigger turn-off than someone who loves to hear the sound of their own voice. Listening, and learning the art of it, is a habit worth forming. It is through true listening that one is able to ask the right questions and make a memorable impression that will lead to good follow ups,...More |
